| Anointed Eagle is essentially a composite of imagery captured from a variety of sources. These include a January 1990 National Geographic, titled "Alaska's Big Spill; Can the Wilderness Heal?," cataloguing the aftermath of the Exxon Valdez crash; and a Mountain Chart of oil futures prices from 2004 to August 19th 2005. It is a mixed media work, with used motor oil as the primary medium. This is the first work in which I explore motor oil as artistic medium. |
