Poles Synthesized fuses the two preceding motifs, "Price Pyramid" and "Flower". But here the poles flip, and motor oil transforms the flower into a black-hearted symbol. The gridded square (look closely to see) regulates the position on its border of calender dates and their corresponding oil futures price, drafted in charcoal. The dates that bypass the completion date of this work are tagged with zeros. A screen divides the big square into triangular halves along its diagonal, while the small square holes in the screen amplify the degree of order that encapsulates the flower.
